I love to combine unusual fabrics with personal embellishments to create a wearable art piece. Fabrics used might include burlap coffee sacks, antique lace linens, upholstery fabric, weavings, needle point pieces and vintage silk scarves. In March of 2016, wearable art scarves will be available for sale at the Pajaro Valley Arts Council shop.
Unusual Uses of Textiles for Unusual Purposes
Nothing's more comfortable than a bracelet created from vintage buttons, beads, crystals semi precious stones, pearls & time pieces. These bracelets are on display at The Museum of Quilts & Textiles in San Jose, California.
Taking found objects, embroidery, vintage buttons and old photographs of my relatives, I created an homage to them.
